Hi.
I’m Duc.
Which is pronounced ‘Duke’. Which is what you get when you’re a
half-Vietnamese kid in Texas. Growing up, my father was a chemical engineer.
He helped design and build massive petrochemical plants. And his dream for
me was to follow in his footsteps. Except I’m bad at math. Really, really bad.
Like things would explode and people would die if I was a chemical engineer.
So, I became a writer instead.
It’s nice to know no matter how well you do as a writer, the world is still a
better place because you didn’t blow up a small part of it.
While making the world safer to live in, I’ve written lots of ads. Some of
them were even very successful. Prior to advertising, I made a living writing
and illustrating children’s books. I also sold a series of animated shorts for
network television, created my own fanzine and had material I wrote
performed in stand up clubs around NYC.

This is my younger son. He’s better looking than I am. So I used his pic
